Wasahamnen – The gateway to the capital of Scandinavia!

Whether or not Stockholm is the capital of Scandinavia is up to you to decide. It certainly is the picture that Stockholm wants to portray. Some even argue that it could be the capital of the world! Few cities are able to boast of a truly fantastic archipelago in their city centre. Stockholm itself is built on 14 islands and has a further 33 000 islands just next door. It is a beautiful city and there countless things to explore. Stockholm can also be proud of the fact that it has a wonderful guest harbour, Wasahamnen, just minutes from the city centre. Wasahamnen is situated on Djurgården close to Gröna Lund, Skansen and Junibacken where you can meet Pippi Longstocking and her friends Tommy and Annika.  After a couple of days out at see it might be nice with a dinner at one of Stockholm’s many restaurants. A favourite is Prinsen, a classic restaurant with typical Swedish cuisine.
