The well-shielded harbour for recreational and fishing boats in Gager has been redeveloped completely and turned into the modern maritime leisure facility “Port Gager”. Two new floating jetties have been installed as well as a breakwater with modern supply facilities and moorings. Ferries and traditional sailing boats are berthing at the pier. Attractive holiday houses and the maritime “Kojenhus” as well as the restaurant “Alte Bootswerft” at the pier invite you to stay. Spend some relaxing hours in our Finnish beach sauna with an unforgettable view over the bay. Come and enjoy an unique sunset from our harbour terrace and treat yourself with some delicious extraordinary salmon products from the Lachsmanufaktur Rügen Rauch.
The restaurant Alte Bootswerft, which means as much as the" old shipyard", is a picturesquely decorated restaurant with a terrace towards the harbor. Here you can pamper yourself with a beer or a glass of wine and enjoy some delicious food. You can have your breakfast at the restaurant as well and there is also a breakfast rolls service in place.
