How does it work?
Three easy steps:
Once the reservation and payment are completed you will receive a confirmation e-mail. It helps you to remember your reservation and to find your spot. And why not share your booking with your friends. They might join you!
What time can I arrive?
Whenever you want after 12.00 hrs. But you need to contact the harbour if you are running late. Please give the harbour master a call before 18.00 hrs.
Will my boat fit the spot?
No problem. You specify the type of boat in your profile when you register the first time. From then on you will only be offered spots that suit your yacht.
Can I book on the same day?
Unfortunately not! You can book up to 23.59 the day before arrival.
Is it possible to cancel my spot?
Yes, this must be done at least one week prior to arrival.
Is there a risk that someone else will take my spot?
No. The spot is clearly marked and cannot be double booked. The harbour staff keep an eye on the bookable spots and guide the right boat to the right place. If you have problems when you arrive, please contact your harbour master.
Can I pre-book breakfast?
It is possible to order breakfast and many other services, in a number of ports. Choose if you want to order when booking or upon arrival.
Do the harbours have electricity?
You have access to electricity at all our harbours. However, there are some spots where electricity is not available and that information will be provided during your booking.
Why haven’t all harbours joined dockspot?
We have chosen to collaborate with a number of quality harbours -and the number of harbours keeps growing. We aim to have around 35-40 harbours in 4-5 countries in which you can plan and pre-book your boating holiday. If you have requests for any harbour please let us or the harbour master know.
Can I use my smart phone to book a spot?
If you have a smart phone, you can book a spot and you can also use our IPhone Application. We expect to launch a solution for all types of mobiles later in the year.
When should I leave my spot?
Check- out must be completed by 12.00 hrs at latest. Please speak to the harbour master if you need to stay longer. They can help you find another spot.
What happens if my payment doesn’t go through?
When you click go to payment, the system automatically locks the information you have chosen for about an hour and a half and waits for a signal that the payment is cleared. If the payment does not go through, the spot will be uploaded again automatically and available for booking.
Do I need to register?
Yes, and registration is free. You must register your details so the service recognises you and your boat when you log on. It makes it easier for you and is necessary for us to be able to offer a spot to fit your type of boat.
