dockspot.com was founded in 2009 as a result of a high level of demand from people wishing to plan and pre-book their boating holidays online – “the Harbour office in Smögen has around 60-80 calls a day from guests wishing to book their “spot” in the harbour”! 9 harbours joined the service the first year: Björholmen Marina, Bohus Malmön Marina, Smögen harbour, Hasselösund harbour, Tanumstrand Mariefred, Strangnas, Furusund and Oxelösund were the trail-blazers. Dockspot’s premise is that a marina should be considered an accommodation facility and must be put into context with other accommodation facilities, such as hotels, campsites, hostels and holiday villages. In comparison, there is a lack of well-developed service concepts for marinas: a marina is looked upon as a parking space more than an integral part of the holiday experience.
Dockspot makes attractive coastal gems available to boat owners who want a high-quality holiday experience.
Dockspot offers an up-to-date and scalable service to the marina-owner’s boating visitors and a total solution for the marina-owner’s port operation. Through national and international collaboration with its stakeholders, Dockspot offers port-owners the ability to deliver perfect hospitality.
